The Index AR Solutions team was on hand recently for the 2024 Human Performance in Action Conference (HPAC) taking place in New Orleans.
Index is a founding sponsor of the conference – now in its third year – which focuses on transforming safety and productivity. Conference host KnowledgeVine is an industry leader in coaching organizations on how to apply human performance theories and methods to specific jobs.
At this year’s HPAC conference, nearly 200 conference attendees got a chance to learn about Index eBooks and augmented reality (AR) mobile apps that are making workers safer and more capable at major utilities and other industries across the country.
MidAmerican Energy, an Index client, has successfully launched more than a dozen digital training programs using eBooks and mobile apps from Index. Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools built to industry standards are contextually integrated into the Index training materials that are delivered via tablet for use in the classroom and the field.
In recent years, industry conversations around HPI have begun to encompass Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts. HOP theory suggests that better process systems management is the key to minimizing the effects of human error.
Representatives from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, ROPA Technologies Program, Titan Utility Services, Power Contracting and many others also attended the HPAC conference.
