Index AR Solutions Senior Director Chris Biernacki will co-present with MidAmerican Energy Company Director of Corporate Training Andrea Bruxvoort at the 2021 Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) Summit on November 17.

The annual Workforce Development Summit brings together energy industry thought leaders for networking, strategic dialogues, and insight into best practices within the industry and beyond. A key theme of the summit is how the energy industry’s education and training leaders are exploring ways to modernize job training and expedite work-readiness.

In a training track entitled “Modernizing Industry Training: MidAmerican’s Journey,” Bruxvoort and Biernacki will demonstrate how MidAmerican is transforming apprenticeships and staff training with the addition of interactive Index eBooks™ and Augmented Reality (AR) mobile apps to their educational offerings. The session takes place at 2:30 PM ET on November 17.

Session participants will learn how MidAmerican and Index worked together to address curriculum design, costs, business partnerships, time to development and team member response, among other success factors.

Index mobile apps and eBooks provide a powerful new way of teaching and engaging today’s workers. The technologies are the foundation of Apprentice Program solutions from Index that are helping major utilities address a variety of staffing and education challenges such as remote learning, the increase in skilled worker retirement and more. Organizations use the solutions to help streamline and replace legacy training materials with a multimodal digital curriculum.
